Delve Deeper

Looking to kill some time? Don't want to encompass yourself in a fast action shooter or enthralling RPG? Delve Deeper is the game for you. Delve Deeper is a turn-based game of dwarves and treasures. The dwarven team with the most gold at the end of the game wins. This is a fairly simple concept until you add strategic dig sites and large groups of monsters that don't want anything with you but to kill you. Not to mention other dwarven team with fighters that will rip apart your miners and scouts on site. This game is truly strategic and every turn you must choose the correct path to victory. It is very raw however. The graphics system looks like that of an Windows 95 game and the multi-player system is hot seat based even though the game came out this year (2010). Upon first execution the game crashed and forced me to play with the compatibility settings and is very difficult to play in full screen mode. If I were to give this game a genre it would be board game. Yes, this game is essentially a board game on steroids. Dont get me wrong I have spent over 10 hours playing around with this game, but I do not believe it to be worth the 10 dollars I spent on it.
